Mobile Phone Microphone Problems
If the microphone in your cell phone has been damaged or is not functioning and you are wondering whether or not you should replace it yourself, there are some things to consider.
Not all cell phones can be repaired using simple home tools.
The iPhone, for example, has a highly stylized housing which is designed only to be opened using special tools. In cases like the iPhone and other more advanced smartphones that have very delicate hardware (e.g. a video camera or multimedia touch screen display), it is advised not to work on the phone yourself but to submit it to a repair shop that specializes in your phone or to the manufacturer.
